68 Knots

As a North Sea local and ocean photographer, I’ve spent years chasing waves and watching storms roll in from the horizon. This fall, I chose to dedicate a series of work towards the capture of this nature spectacle. No plans. No where to be. Just presence in the storm.

68 Knots is a fine art photography series born from the heart of Storm Amy a cyclone that transformed Denmark’s west coast into a canvas of raw, untamed nature.

Standing high in the dunes, engulfed by 35 m/s winds and etheric light, I witnessed nature’s choreography, fast shifting skies, ocean clouds, and hazy air swirling in violent harmony.

This project captures the North Sea not as a backdrop, but as a living force. What is often mundane became grand, a display of power, emotion, and infinite horizon. Each image is a meditation on motion and mood, created to evoke the feeling of being inside the storm.

Limited to just a few select prints, each photograph is signed, dated, and printed in large format to honor the scale of the experience.
